Meet the team

Kate is a Director and Business Manager. A qualified nurse with 12 years care and healthcare experience, Kate has responsibility for Financial Management.

Paul is a Director and Business Manager. A Chartered Accountant with management experience at IBM, HSBC and Citigroup Paul is also responsible for Marketing. 

I have worked for Bluebird Care for eight years, I began my journey here as a coordinator and was promoted to deputy manager. I’m passionate about person centred care and the health and wellbeing of our customers.

Previous to working in Bluebird Care I have worked in care for 20 years in a number of nursing and residential settings since leaving school. I looked after a family member when I was 18 who was suffering with dementia. From that point on I knew, I wanted to have a career in care and to support other people who live with dementia and other types of illnesses.  

Following the untimely passing of my father who was a fairly young man I remember feeling useless. There laid a wonderful man that I loved so dearly and I could not help him, I had no training or experience of Cancer or being able to deal with the hurt and pain his death caused us all.  I was determined to understand care and to try to make a difference to someone's life, to give them the best quality of care and to help alleviate some of the pressure from the people that love them.  So began my journey…

I have now been in senior management for over 19 years in the healthcare environment and enabling individuals by supporting them to live in their own homes. Helping to maintain independence and empowering individuals is an extremely rewarding experience and something I love doing on a day to day basis.

I came into care just after graduating with a music degree, during my degree I completed modules on Music and Wellbeing for the elderly which got me looking into care. My Mum was a nurse so I decided my career journey was going to be in the care sector, and I can honestly say I have never looked back.

I joined Bluebird Care Reigate as a Care Worker in February 2019 and have since progressed to my current position as Care Service Specialist.

I started working for Bluebird Care Reigate as a Care Worker and joined the office team as Recruitment Lead & Administrator. I enjoy meeting new people and ensuring we employ the best quality carers as possible. As being a carer before, I know the skills and qualities required to provide the best care for our customers.
