Meet our team of care professionals

Mark Oswald
Franchise Owner

Bluebird Care Taunton is owned and managed by Director, Mark Oswald.  Before starting Bluebird Care Taunton, Mark worked in recruitment for 12 years, 9 of which were in the Social Care sector.
He has managed branches across the South West of England & Wales and overseen Local Authority, Voluntary and Private Organisation staff supply contracts.
During that time Mark has not only supplied staff to care organisations but has provided care in a variety of settings himself. Having seen services of varying degrees of quality he is passionate about supplying Bluebird Care’s customers with a high level of care.
Mark is a keen sportsman, rowing Pilot Gigs across South West England. He also sails, cycles, hikes and mountaineers when he’s not playing with his two young children.

Toyah Warrington
Operations Manager

My name is Toyah Warrington, I became Operations manager for Bluebird Care in Taunton and Mid Devon on the 6th August 2018 where I have been made to feel very welcome and I am really looking forward to working with everyone.
My background is in complex domiciliary care including mental health and learning disabilities, and more recently I have worked within the Advocacy sector which has given me invaluable experiences and allowed me to build my knowledge and skills base within relevant legal frameworks and Human Rights.
I am a keen researcher of all things Psychology and behaviour based, I love to read, listen to music and going for very long walks with my 3 very large Huskies!
I am always keen to talk to people who work in or use our services, and of course happy to discuss any care enquiries so please do contact the office if you would like have a chat. I look forward to hearing from you!

Beverley Crocker
Development (HR) Manager

Beverley has a long career history in human resources and care. She started her career in care over 10 years ago with the well known charity Age UK Devon where she was the Services Manager which supported projects such as the home support service and the dementia garden.  Previous to that she was a Human Resources Business Partner for 20 years with the Environment Agency.  Beverley's life with Bluebird Care began over 5 years ago when she started as Registered Manager. Beverley has now combined her Human Resources and Care experience along with relevant qualifications in her role as Development (HR) Manager with Bluebird Care.   Beverley ensures recruitment, retention, training, development and human resources issues run smoothly supported by her experienced team.

Ben Sellick
Area Care Manager

Ben Sellick has worked with Bluebird care since November 2014 having joined the team as a supervisor for the Wellington area, which is also his home town. Since then he has developed in to the Area Care Manger role.
Ben Joined Bluebird care with 10 years of experience in care home settings  in various roles ranging from care worker to team leader in both Somerset and Manchester.
Additionally Ben is an active member of the local community and his local Church, and takes his passionate attitude into all situations in both work and home life
At home Ben spends most of his time managing the tantrums of his 2 year old daughter, but when he does get time to himself he enjoys watching most sports and recently started playing Squash.
When living in Salford Ben took part in a charity Boxing match and then went on to assist with training the children of Salford Lads club. Since returning to Somerset he is involved with a local children’s club and leads them in many fun activities, he also enjoys Public speaking.
