Meet our team of care professionals

Dr Peter McCormick
Owner

American born Peter moved to Ireland in the 1980’s and over many years was involved in the growth and development of a number of very successful businesses. He moved to Holywood in the early 2000’s. 
 
Peter became involved with Bluebird Care (Holywood) in 2013 and in January 2016 became the owner of the Bluebird Care (Holywood). 
 
Peter has a special interest in dementia care and improving the quality of life of those who was in the throws of dementia and believes that the quality of life of sufferers can be greatly enhanced by excellently trained carers who are genuinely interested in their patients.  He has built a very strong team in Holywood and is passionate about the training and upskilling the team to ensure the best quality of care to all Bluebird Care (Holywood) patients.  He is passionate about keeping Bluebird customers in the comfort and security of their own homes.

Lucy Baxter
Operations Director / Care Manager

Lucy has extensive experience in the care sector having worked in residential care homes before joining Bluebird Care (Holywood) as a Care Worker. Her performances saw her promoted to Supervisor and then Care Co-ordinator. Lucy is now undertaking her Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care Services (Adults' Management).

In her role as Care Manager she is responsible for the ethical running of Bluebird Care (Holywood), a role which ensures that the interests and wellbeing of all customers and staff are met. She manages the day to day running of effective care service delivery.

Lucy ensures all customers receive bespoke care packages designed to meet their  individual care and support needs.

She is responsible for ensuring the service is well led, safe, effective, and responsive and meets the fundamental standards within the RQIA regulatory framework.

Jordan Milby
Lead Office Administrator / Auditor

Jordan joined Bluebird Care in 2016 and has a wealth of experience working in office surroundings. She shares a receptionist role within the company and is involved in the close monitoring of incoming paperwork from care Staff and customers. She is an excellent team player and is the administrator for the company PPE (Personal Protection Equipment).

Kelly Burns
Office Administrator

Kelly has extensive experience in a number of businesses and joined Bluebird Care (Holywood) as she has a real love of people.   

Kelly's is usually the first person people chat to when they call the office and her warmth and good humour put everyone at ease.

Heather Maclure
Lead Supervisor

Heather has worked for Bluebird Care Holywood since 2012 starting as a Care Worker. Her hard work, professionalism and enthusiasm for delivering extremely high standards of care led to her accepting the role of Trainer/ Lead Supervisor.

In 2014 she completed her NVQ 3 in Health & Social Care and is currently studying for a Teaching Qualification. It is Heather's responsibility to lead our team of carers and be the point of contact between customers and the office. Her role has now expanded in the office and she is Assistant Manager.

PPE Officer / Lead Male Care Assistant

Colin joined us in 2010 as a Care Worker. He has extensive experience providing care to our customers and is a very popular staff member. Colin has undertaken the role of Executive PPE Officer within the company from January 2020. He also works alongside Jordan sorting, packaging and delivering PPE to all care staff.
