What tip would you give to somebody joining the care sector?

Joining the care sector may seem quite overwhelming but we promise you if you’ve got a kind, caring and compassionate soul then you’ll be absolutely fine. We will provide you with all the training and support you could possibly need to help you on your journey.

Sometimes it can be easier to hear it from your peers, so we thought it would be good to let some of our Care Assistants give you the feedback.

Just give it a try. If you're a natural carer then it will feel like the obvious job for you.

Just don't overthink things too much otherwise you will worry too much, and you will soon realise there was no need to. It is only natural we feel a little bit nervous when we first start a new job but at Bluebird Care you can't go wrong. We just need to put a smile on our faces, remain loyal to our essences (to who we are as a person) and just give our very best. The rest will come to us in no time and also in no time we will manifest the great carers we can be!

It's not an easy job but it’s rewarding and that makes it all worthwhile.

It can be hard work but it’s such a rewarding job. I go home feeling like I have made a real difference to people’s lives. I would recommend caring to anyone.

No question is a silly question and always remember to treat people how you would like to be treated yourself.

Go for it ,don’t hold back it’s hard work but extremely rewarding.

Follow your heart, make a big difference and listen to people around you. The skills will come.

Wear comfortable shoes.

A tip I would give to anybody joining the care sector is treat every customer as an individual and just think if this was your relative treat them the way you would expect your relative to be treated.

If you’re still not 100% convinced then simply get in touch with the team, we’d love to have a chat and a cup of tea to go through everything with you.
