What is the best thing about your job?

Caring for people in your local area can come with an abundance of benefits. It is an extremely rewarding job as you get to meet so many local lovely customers and help them to remain safe and independent in their own homes.  Whether you’re new to the industry or you’ve worked in care for a long time there’s always more skills to learn and reasons to smile.

I love to make people feel valued. Seeing them happy makes me feel like I’ve made all the difference.

The best thing about my job is getting to see the smile on my customers faces and knowing I was the one that made them smile is highly rewarding. If I manage to make them laugh, then I will feel on cloud nine! Their kindness is also very touching. I also like the same about my colleagues, their genuine smiles, laughs and kindness always reminds me how worth it is to be part of a "family" like this.

Feeling a sense of achievement when I am able to help someone.

I now have my forever home and my forever job. Working for Bluebird Care has helped to improve my mental health as it has showed me that I can learn new skills and I can do them well. My customers are pleased to see me and knowing I make a different to their lives makes it all worth it.

The best part of my job is having the ability to enable people to live in the comfort of their own home with our help.

My customers really do bring out the best out of me.

Knowing that I am making a difference in helping to keep people at home and the joy it brings.

Being part of a great team where I am always learning new skills from my colleagues.

The customers are lovely, and every day is a learning day.

The best thing about my job is my customers' faces lighting up when they see you and knowing that I am here to help and make their life that bit more easier and happier.
