Care Worker of the Month Awards
Every month we will be sharing stories in recognition of our Care Assistants who have gone above and beyond helping our customers as well as working well with their colleagues.
Care Worker of the Month May 2020 - Cathryn Graham
Congratulations to our senior care worker Cathryn Graham for being nominated to receive Care Worker of the Month Award for May 2020!
Cathryn is a wonderful care assistant, a natural, that took to this role straight away. Cathryn works closely with senior team to complete supervisions and reviews and offers support to all members of the team. We receive many compliments about Cathryn and the outstanding level of care she provides.
Recently she provided 24 hour live-in care to one of our long standing customers that Cathryn used to provide home care for. Our customer was delighted to have one of her regular care assistants to look after her for the weekend and it was a wonderful experience for both. Well done Cathryn!
Care Worker of the Month April 2020 - Tereza Stinglova
Congratulations to Tereza for being nominated to receive Care worker of the Month Award for April 2020!
Tereza has grown from strength to strength in the short time she has been with us, she enjoys her work and is very supportive to the office staff and has assisted in times of crisis.
Well done Tessa and thank you for all that you have done to help.
Care Worker of the Month March 2020 - Ella Stevens
Congratulations to Ella Stevens who has been nominated as Bluebird Care Eastbourne & Wealden Care Worker of the Month for March 2020.

Care Worker of the Month February 2020 - Beth Marshall
Congratulations to Beth Marshall on receiving care worker of the month for February, this is the second time Beth has been selected in a short space of time with her previous nomination being in October 2019.
Beth is an extremely caring, conscientious member of staff, who is always there to support and assist her colleagues as well as the customers she visits regularly. Being new to care before joining us Beth was lacking in confidence, and has grown from strength to strength.

Care Worker of the Month January 2020 - Erin Ferguson
Congratulations to Erin Ferguson on receiving care worker of the month for January 2020.
Erin joined the team in February 2019, and is now our Wealden senior care worker in charge of live-in care. Erin’s colleagues describe her as delivering a professional high standard of care, she is efficient with excellent time management and is loved by all the customers she visits on a regular basis.
Erin offers support to all members of the Bluebird Care team, working closely with her fellow senior care workers to support and guide our care assistants during supervisions and spot checks.
Having already completed previous diplomas in Health & Social care we are looking forward to Erin continuing on her career pathway and starting a new diploma this year. Well Done Erin!
Care Worker of the Month December 2019 - Heaven Buckley
Congratulations to Heaven Buckley for receiving Care Worker of the Month Award for December 2019.
Heaven is a natural care worker, from her first day she has been described as a joy to have in the home.
Heaven has been nominated for this award by several of the customers she visits on a regular basis. Well done Heaven for your dedication the role!
Care Worker of the Month August 2019 - Jacqueline Wood
Well done to Jacqueline Wood for receiving Bluebird Care Eastbourne & Wealden Care Worker/Care Assistant of the Month award for August 2019.
Jacqueline has received many compliments from the customers she visits on a regular basis as well as their families.
Working closely with two of our live-in customers and their care workers, getting to know these customers extremely well, Jacqueline has recently been able to quickly detect declining health and get the help of a healthcare professional. Well done Jacqueline.
Care Worker of the Month May 2019 - Yvonne MacDonalds
Congratulations to Yvonne MacDonald on receiving Bluebird Care Eastbourne & Wealden Care Worker of the Month award for May 2019!
Yvonne is one of our 24 hour live-in care workers and has been working long term with one of our customers who initially was apprehensive about having a care worker there, and was nervous about going out.
Yvonne has been able to build his confidence to go out. Yvonne interacts with the customer doing tasks he enjoys, such as dance lessons, going to tea dances, booking tickets to events that he will enjoy, and going for drives to visit his family and friends.
The customer and his family are very happy with the care and support Yvonne provides.

Care Worker of the Month April 2019 - Elaine Lawson
Congratulations to Elaine Lawson on receiving April 2019 Care Worker of the month award.
Elaine is one of our 24 hour live-in care workers and has been providing palliative care for one of our long standing customers for the last few months. Elaine was nominated by many members of the domiciliary care team to receive this award, due to her dedication and exceptional care she provided.
Elaine communicates with the office extremely well with every customer she cares for but with this particular package she did amazingly well to coordinate between hospice teams, doctors, the family and us.
Well done Elaine you did this customer and us very proud.
Care Worker of the Month March 2019 - Erin Ferguson
Congratulations to Erin Ferguson who has been selected to be Bluebird Care Eastbourne & Wealden's Care Worker of the Month for March 2019.
We have received many compliments from customers and staff, as well as direct nominations for Erin to be put forward to be care worker of the month.
Erin has only been with us since February and the level of care that Erin provides is outstanding. Erin’s supervisions have been to a very high standard, she is very supportive to her colleagues, as well as the management team and is looking forward to starting her Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care this year.

Care Worker of the Month February 2019 - Trudi Crouch
Congratulations to Trudi Crouch who has received Care Worker of the Month for February 2019! A record having only joined us in January this year.
Trudi is new to the care industry and was very nervous in the beginning, she has grown from strength to strength enjoying her hands on training and getting involved in her training sessions. Trudi often describes how much she loves her job and that she did not think she could love it as much as she does, this is obvious in the smiley, bubbly, attitude that exudes from her, brightening the days of her customers. We have received many compliments from the customers and staff and we thank Trudi for her continuous help and support.

Care Worker of the Month September 2018 - Mirjana Markovic
Well done to Mirjana Markovic who works in our Wealden area. Mirjana joined us earlier this year with no previous experience in care, and has sustained care packages, recognising deterioration so that calls could be increased to ensure customers receive the right level of care and are kept safe.

Care Worker of the Month August 2018 - Kim White
Congratulations to Kim White who has been nominated to receive care worker of the month for August.
Kim has received many well deserved compliments from customers and their families. Kim has been supporting one of our customers on a weekly basis, and through accompanying them on a trip to Canterbury she has been able to reunite them with family they hadn’t seen for many years.
Kim received a £30 love to shop voucher which she is looking forward to spending. Well Done Kim!
Care Worker of the Month June 2018 - Judith Rew
Congratulations to Judith Rew for being selected as our Care Worker of the Month for June 2018.
Judith has been with Bluebird Care Eastbourne & Wealden for almost seven years and during this time has achieved a lot of recognition and compliments for her outstanding work and dedication to her role. Judith has achieved her Health & Social Care level 2 diploma, and assists in the office where possible. Judith’s knowledge and bubbly personality makes her a wonderful care worker, brightening the days of those she visits. Well Done Judith!
Care Worker of the Month May 2018 - Rachel Emslie
Rachel Emslie has received care worker of the month for May 2018. Rachel joined us in February this year, having only worked in retail before joining us.
Rachel had cared for family members previously which ignited a real passion for helping others. With no previous training, Rachel was excited to get stuck into our training courses. We have been receiving compliments from customers as well as colleagues, and all have expressed how Rachel has a very caring professional approach to delivering a high standard of care.
Thank you Rachel for your dedication to your training, excellent reporting skills and the support that you give us all in the office.

Care Worker of the Month April 2018 - Jane Appleton
Jane Appleton has been selected to be our care worker of the month for April. Jane joined us in October 2017, a natural care worker who received compliments from her very first day.
Jane has received praise from her colleagues as well as customers that she visits on a regular basis. As well as domiciliary customers, Jane works closely with several live-in customers, providing respite to their 24 hour care worker, as well as sleeping nights.
Jane has an excellent relationship with the customers that she visits on a regular basis, her calm caring nature allows her to deliver a high standard of care.

Care Worker of the Month February 2018 - Su White
Congratulations to Su White for being selected as February’s care worker of the month! Su is one of our full time care workers, working both in Eastbourne & The Wealden area.
Su has been with us for many years, and is experienced in all levels of care. We receive regular compliments on the professional high standard of care Su delivers on a daily basis. As well as her outstanding level of care, the support that she gives the office staff Is second to none. Assisting with covering calls in emergency situations, and supporting our on call staff is very much appreciated.

Cathryn joined us in November 2017 and after a few short months she has received an outstanding number of compliments and positive supervisions. For someone with no previous care experience she has grown from strength to strength within this time, dealing with some very challenging packages on a daily basis.
