What will you enjoy about your job?
It is easy for us to tell you about what the role involves and how rewarding it is, but reading through what our carers say is much more powerful. We hope you enjoy reading their comments.
I enjoy meeting new people and helping them reach their full potential. I also appreciate that my working hours are flexible so that I can make them fit around my family.
Carer Jane - July 2023
I joined Bluebird Care Chester in January 2023. I am most impressed by the support off all the team. I was welcomed from the 1st day of meeting everybody. The rotas are always on time and I can see 7 days ahead. Travel is to the minimum and clients fairly close to each other. Therefore, time spent with clients and not sitting in car. I am so glad I decided to join Bluebird Care, as really it's a breath of fresh air after my previous job experience . So thankyou team!
New Carer Jayne - February 2023
I have loved my first week as a Bluebird Care Assistant! I love chatting with all the people I have supported. I am proud I have been able to help them.
New Carer Georgia - February 2023
I have learnt so much in the last 6 months! The support from the team has been amazing and the girls on the doubles run have been very supportive. I enjoy the role very much and the friendships I have made with the customers.
Carer Lisa - November 2022
I absolutely LOVE my role as Director and Registered Manager! It fills me with pride knowing we deliver OUTSTANDING care to the vulnerable people in our community. We have an AMAZING care team who are all so passionate too! 💙💙
Director and Registered Manager Rebecca - November 2022
"The customer greeted me at the door and chatted about his family having come to visit him. I made him his lunch and a hot drink. Helped to put the washing away and put his clothes out for tomorrow. I put the music on for him before I left. We had a lovely chat throughout his call. All seemed well on leaving." I love my job!
Carer Leanne - August 2022
I visit clients’ homes, to assist them with their daily needs from personal care, assisting with meals and household tasks, sometimes just company and a walk is needed as clients can be lonely with no family nearby. I enjoy chatting to all our clients, hearing about their lives and stories. I know that there will always be help at the end of the phone for support and praise is given from the clients and management team, which gives me a great feeling of achievement and more importantly that I am making a difference to someone’s daily life.
Carer Laine - June 2022
As a very new carer I can say that I am enjoying my new role out in the community, as I feel proud that I am able to help others. It gives me a great sense of purpose.
New Carer - May 2022
I absolutely love my job as a Care Assistant! PPE is always available keeping me and the customers safe. I am well supported in my role as I care for my sister also and when she is ill, I was taken off rota straight away so I could take care of her.
Carer Lindsey
I really enjoy interacting with the clients I care for. I know that carers are appreciated by the management team whether it be through emails or messages and for getting our long service award badges, certificates and kind gifts. Throughout COVID I have felt safe delivering care as I have had the full PPE required and support from the management team if needed.
Carer Ali
I enjoy my role as I enjoy leading the team and meeting new customers. The Director, Rebecca, makes me feel valued and is very supportive. She has an open door policy and I feel I can talk to her about anything. Throughout COVID I was given all the guidance and following it which helped me feel safe. I love my work family!
Deputy Care Manager Nerys
I enjoy the variety of challenges that each day brings and feel valued when I get positive feedback from customers and staff. I have felt safe delivering care through COVID as I have been given access to all the PPE I needed including hand sanitiser when it was almost impossible to get hold of.
Carer Tracey
I have been a Bluebird Carer for 5 years now and I enjoy my role as I work with elderly people who I am able to make happy by giving them support which makes me feel valued too. I enjoy seeing my regular clients in my local area. I have felt safe and still feel safe as I have got all the PPE that I need. I am supported by the management team which gives me confidence and support when needed.
Carer Ann
I enjoy working for Bluebird Care as they keep me to the same clients. I know this is important as we get to know them, and it makes the client feel comfortable and listened too. I enjoy mostly everything with Bluebird Care. I feel valued because if there is a problem with my rota or any training, I need they will help me with this. Anything I am ever unhappy with they sort out for me ASAP.
Carer Nicky
I enjoy feeling that our visits help make a difference to peoples’ lives. I don’t like traffic queues which can sometimes make me late for calls but can't be helped. The electronic care plan system we use is much better and easier than the paper ones. Gives us more time to spend with the customer.
Carer Dot
I enjoy caring for regular clients as you build up a special relationship. I also like meeting new ones as that Is what the job is about.
Carer Gemma
I enjoy everything about my role, meeting new people, caring for them and keeping them company. I feel that all the office staff appreciate me and I get on with everyone. I am grateful for all the support too. I always know there is someone on the end of the phone if there are any concerns with customers or even if I need to change my rota due to childcare.
Carer Ella
The best parts about my job are meeting new customers and working as part of a great team. We are all valued as we get compliments passed on from customers, families, and the office team. The support we have had throughout the pandemic has been excellent from the office and management team. In fact, the customers have been really grateful too.
Carer Justine
It’s great when I can go the extra mile for a customer to make sure their needs are met. I like to know they are safe, secure and happy in the comfort of their own home.
Carer Chloe
As a Bluebird Carer I enjoy meeting new people and giving them some quality time. If I ever have a query or I am not quite sure about anything there is someone there at the end of the phone to help. I have felt well informed throughout COVID and have also felt safe delivering care. As I have been given all the correct PPE. We have also been provided with our vaccinations which has made me feel safe. All the care plans are up to date and written well to provide personalised care.
Carer Ruth
