Stephen spent many years working globally for an international engineering group. He supported his Father who received care at home. The ‘girls’ who supported his father were great but the administration behind them was absolutely terrible ….the girls were always under pressure to ‘get-in-and-get-out,’ never had any travel time, never on time, were unsure of their work requirements tomorrow and were always rushing to and from their office to collect updated rosters or submit signature sheets / mileage claims Etc.
Stephen passionately believes everyone deserves great care and support and shortly after his Father sadly passed away he joined the Bluebird Care network, who share these beliefs. Together, in November 2011, they started Bluebird Care in Central Bedfordshire
Stephen believes in using the latest technology and equipment to support the team, make their life easier and enable them to devote quality time with our customers
Stephen is married to Alison (one of our Coordinators) together they have 3 children and a dog
Emma joined our team in early 2012 shortly after Bluebird Care Central Bedfordshire started. Emma has been in the care environment for over 18-years working in many areas from learning disabilities to elderly covering residential, nursing homes, hospitals and sheltered accommodation
Emma has worked at all levels and has a very good understanding of what is needed to support our customers and care workers in a happy and safe environment
Emma is qualified to level 5 in Health and Social Care Leadership and Management and has also taken many other vocational qualifications to compliment her experience
Tammie joined Bluebird Care Central Bedfordshire in November 2012 as a care Worker before moving to the office team as a coordinator in July 2014.
Tammie has been working in the care sector since 1996 and has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge of what is required to support our customers with their care requirements and also with supporting our care workers
Tammie is currently working towards her NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care and has completed many external courses to compliment her role within Bluebird Care
I joined the Bluebird Care team in December 2016 as a coordinator primarily working on ‘current day’ support. I have been working ‘in care’ and supporting people since 2010 and I am very pleased with this career choice. During this time I have also gained experience supporting people with ‘learning disabilities’ and ‘challenging behaviour’ both in a residential environment and within their own home. I have a Level 3 diploma in Health and Social Care.
Alison helped Stephen to support his Father and helped the formation of Bluebird Care Central Bedfordshire in 2011
Alison is primarily responsible for ‘next weeks’ roster.
Dawn joined Bluebird Care Central Bedfordshire in May 2012 as one of our care workers and became a full time supervisor February 2013.
Dawn has been working in the care industry for over 12 years supporting older people and people with neurological disorders in both the community and in residential homes.
Dawn has gained her NVQ level 3 in Health and Social care whilst working for Bluebird Care (Central Bedfordshire) as well as other qualifications to help support her role as supervisor.
I joined Bluebird Care in 2012. When I first joined the company I was ‘new to care.’ Initially I didn’t know if this was going to be a career for me or not. But, after a few weeks supporting people, it gave me great satisfaction to know I am helping people to stay in their own homes. Bringing a smile to people every day is a great pleasure.
Bluebird Care have been very supportive throughout my time with them and they have given me the opportunity to grow within the business. In 2017 I completed an NVQ level 3 in Health and Social care and in early 2017, I was promoted to ‘Supervisor’ which gives me the opportunity to continue my personal development and learn more.
Lily has been with Bluebird Care since March 2015 and supervises the live in care workers and deals with recruitment and marketing within our small team.
Since achieving a BTEC National Diploma in Health and Social Care, Lily has been working in the care industry since 2010 supporting people from ‘younger to older.’
Since joining Bluebird Care Lily has gained her NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care and passionately believes in providing the best support for our customers, their families and our small team.
I joined Bluebird Care in 2019 as a carer.
Everything was new for me but knowing that when I opened my customers door and knowing that they are waiting for someone to help or assist them to get ready for the day motivated me.
I became a supervisor after working 7 months as a carer. Becoming a full time supervisor meeting with vulnerable people arranging a care plan and making sure they are happy in their own homes, leaving a smile on their faces means a lot to me. I know that I have made a right decision to take on this new challenge but of course I wouldn’t be in this position if it wasn’t for the support that I have received from Bluebird Care.
