To all at Bluebird Care, Thank you so much for making me feel so welcome & for all the support you give me. It's a pleasure to work for a company that really does care!
I'm so proud of myself! After 30 years in retail that was my life, but after I retired I found that I had something special in me and that I could support and help to take are of people less able than me. With the support and help from Bluebird Care Bromsgrove & Redditch, I'm doing what I should have done years ago. There are special people out there that need our help. More people than carers so come and join us and be a part of our fantastic family. Make that phone call and make a difference.
I basically just want to say how well K has been with me, she's been so supportive of me being new. She's helped me a lot and even when I'm not working with her and I message her she is always polite about helping me on what to do. She is so friendly to all the customers, even if she is not having the best of days she is always smiling and cheery towards them.
WOW what a GREAT shift!! Totally had an amazing day. I wish I had worked for this company a year ago. I am so happy right now!
This company is amazing, right from the very top (owners) to the management and dedicated ladies in the office who always make you feel welcome (even have a goodie cupboard for carers) and all the carers are great also. Really I am pinching myself to make sure I'm not dreaming! Everyone is there for everyone, a true image of team work from all and the care they give is phenomenal. After working for the companies I've worked for in the past, they all in one way or another made me rethink my course with regrets to staying in this sector but WOW this is great and has definitely restored my faith.
My role as a Domicilary Carer for Bluebird Care is a very rewarding role. Each day is different, no two calls are the same even though the main tasks are the same. Caring for a wide range of customers can be tasking but enjoyable, whether it's personal care or a sit in service, there is a great sense of feeling good when someone is left in their own home with their own surroundings and they have a smile on their face. There is plenty of support and training if needed and I always feel able to ask for this. All in all I enjoy my role.
I joined Bluebird Care in September 2013. I had not had a job as a carer before, but I had cared for various elderly relatives, including my parents. My mother lived with dementia and I felt that I could help other people who needed care. After a substantial amount of training, I finally started working in the community on the 14th November 2013. My very first day was daunting, but within no time, I felt that I was visiting friends every day, really enjoying the challenges and rewards that caring in the community bring. I felt valued as a carer and as an employee. I felt that I had finally found what I had been looking for in my life. Training is continuous, after obtaining my Diploma 2, I felt ready to study for my Diploma 3 and was encouraged to do so. During this time, I was promoted to Care Support Supervisor in April 2015 and carried on with more training – Dementia Leadership, Advanced Medication Administration, Risk Assessor Training, Advanced Health and Safety and Infection Control and many more. All is done with the support and encouragement of senior staff. I really enjoy my current role, it enables me to carry on working in the community with a great team of carers and to combine this with the pleasure of meeting prospective clients to help them to choose their person centred care plan and to assess current clients to make sure that their care needs are being met. Support from colleagues is always there when needed and I feel privileged to be part of such a great team at Bluebird Care.
Absolutely fantastic company. Their priority is always the service users from office staff to the carer's. Can't praise them highly enough. I worked for this company until I moved to another area. I have yet to find a company that live up to their standards of care.
I started working for Bluebird Care just under a year ago, not ever doing care work before. They were very helpful and supportive, I was given full training in all areas necessary and was able to shadow more experienced carers until I felt confident to work alone. When starting out alone I received full support from office staff, supervisors and all of the other carers. I couldn't believe how quickly I picked the job up and it felt like I'd always done it. It is a very rewarding career and seeing regular customers daily is great as you build up lovely relationships with them; this is the first job I've had where I look forward to going to work every morning and am sad when it's time to finish. There are plenty of training opportunities for me to pursue in the future which will help me to continue to progress in a career I enjoy. I have found Bluebird Care a fantastic company to work for and their main priority is the care of their customers and staff.
Can I say thank you to everyone at Bluebird Care for changing my life. I have met so many lovely carers and clients. Not only has it changed my life, you have allowed me to financially get the little things in life that I was struggling to get and it means so much. Thank you once again.
