Why I love my job.

Every morning I put on my blue tunic and smile as I know that this uniform represents reassurance, companionship and a friendly smile. A blue sky on a rainy day. Not only does the presence of my uniform offer help in the smallest of tasks, it hopefully represents that with a little help, independence can be kept and today is a good day like no other. At some stage in our lives we may all need help, be it preparing a meal, support with washing, being prompted to take medication or just to get out of bed each morning. I am there to offer a helping hand and the reward I receive for this is through the appreciation of our customers, whether it is a smile, a nod or in words. The best reward I can receive is knowing that I can help those who are unable to perform the everyday tasks we take for granted. A little goes a long way!
