Please read on to learn what our care assistants have to say about working for Bluebird Care Bedford.
I was made redundant from last job and applied to work for Bluebird Care Bedford through an advert I saw online. In my previous job, I had a lot of experience working with the general public, dealing with lots of different types of people from all walks of life, but no experience in the care industry. I have been working for Bluebird Care Bedford for over a year now. I really enjoy working here and love my role as a care assistant, no two days are the same! This is a great company to work for, they are really supportive towards all members of staff and their customers. I would recommend any of my friends or family to work here.
I’ve not long started working for Bluebird Care Bedford, but soon found out how lovely everyone is, they really look after their staff with loads of in-house training. If I had to have anyone care for my parents I know they couldn’t be in better care than with the ladies that work here. I love my job working for Bluebird Care Bedford, everyone from the care assistants to the office staff are all so friendly & helpful.
I started at Bluebird Care (Bedford) only a couple of weeks ago. So far it has been great. The recruitment process was very easy, my aunty works for Bluebird Care and I asked her if there were any jobs going. I was contacted the next day and invited in for an interview the following day. My first impressions of the company was that everyone is really nice, the ladies who interviewed me were lovely and it was very clear that they were very knowledgeable about the work they do. I found this very reassuring as I have never worked in care before. The training I received was really interesting. Lyn-Marie is very knowledgeable and really knows what she’s talking about. I also really enjoyed the Communication and Dementia workshops from Vanessa and Lally. Bluebird Care Bedford is a family orientated business which is really nice, I’ve felt very welcomed. I have been working with some of my colleagues in our customer’s homes over the last week, all my colleagues are lovely and really helpful. I know that I can pick up the phone to anyone and they will be able to help me and answer any questions I have. I have never worked in care before and I’m really glad that I’ve got a job where I help other people and really make their day. I have already found it really rewarding and can’t wait to get out and meet more customers.
I have only been in the care industry for 3 months and I must say it was the best decision I have ever made. Working for Bluebird Care Bedford has changed my life in such a positive way. Working alongside all the office staff and other care assistants has given me confidence and helped me grow in my role. They are always there for me if I need help and advice, no matter how big or small it may be. Being a care assistant has taught me that even the smallest act of kindness has the potential to turn a life around. In the 12 weeks I have worked here, I have been awarded a STAR award of which I am so proud. I feel I have come a long way in such a little amount of time. I thank Karen, the staff and all at Bluebird Care for giving me a chance and helping me start a new career.
I love working for Bluebird Care Bedford because it makes me feel like I make a difference to someone's life daily. At the end of my working day I realise the time and attention I've paid to individuals will have assisted them to fulfil their personal desire, to remain living in their own homes. This feeling is very rewarding and makes me feel good about myself! Bluebird Care Bedford are a great company, who do their very best to be there for their staff offering great training opportunities and daily support.
