Anneka Baiden, Director of Bluebird Care Barking & Dagenham is a registered Learning Disability Nurse and Social Worker with experience working in the NHS and Social Services. Anneka has experience in providing support to people living at home.

Anneka brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience of this industry, from working as a front-line staff within the NHS & Social Services to becoming a Director of her new business.

I have gained valuable experience working in the NHS as a Community Nurse. I am passionate about Community Care, I have worked hard over the last few years providing a high quality care & support for people within the local borough. Starting a business within the Health and Social Care industry has been a long-term ambition for me. As a new service within the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham we are looking forward to meeting and providing a service to local people, groups and organisations. Most importantly, we look forward to making a difference within the local borough by providing a high quality care service for customers, creating job opportunities and supporting local organisations.

Laura Platkeviciute
Supervisor

I have joined Bluebird Care Barking and Dagenham as a Care Assistant in March 2020.

I was looking for a fulfilling job where I could make a difference to someone’s day but which was flexible to work around school hours, Bluebird Care had a lot to offer me: tons of training, support – both professional and emotional – and flexible working hours to suit family life. I had a passion for caring for my customers and loved working for Bluebird Care.

I was delighted at the opportunity to progress in my career by joining the office team in May 2022 as a Care Supervisor,  where my role is to support the team of care assistants and ensure the delivery of a high-quality service to our customers. It is a very different role from that which I was doing previously, but I am enjoying every minute of it and using all the experiences and skills that I gained over 2 years as a member of Bluebird care team. Domiciliary Care can be challenging at times, but I am enjoying the interaction with my customers and their families, and of course supporting the network of care assistants.

I feel that I had achieved so much, both personal achievements and professional. I feels it’s a truly rewarding career and one that really opens your eyes to life in general, I met so many different characters along the way and gained memories that will last me a lifetime.
