Pay depends on your role, experience, and the shifts you work.
Hourly pay (care assistant roles)

| Basic | £14.90 | £15.00 |
| Higher | £15.05 | £15.70 |
| Senior | £15.35 | £16.20 |
| Mentor | £15.85 | £16.60 |
Other shift rates
- Sleep-in: £81.00 (weekday) / £90.00 (weekend)
- Waking night: £129.00 (weekday) / £141.00 (weekend)
These rates reflect the day-to-day support our care professionals provide, helping people stay safe and comfortable in their own homes.
Please note: rates apply after probation.
What can affect your pay?
A few things can influence how much you earn:
Your experience and training
If you’ve worked in care before or have developed specific skills, you may start on a higher rate.
Your shifts
Evening, weekend and overnight work can include higher rates.
Your role
As you build experience and take on more responsibility, your pay can increase.
