Those who need care services are some of the most vulnerable in our community.  Our care assistants and live-in care assistants provide each of our customers with a bespoke care experience, enabling them to continue to enjoy fulfilling lives in their own homes for as long as possible while promoting their independence.

The role of a care assistant brings challenges as well as rewards. Our customers include people with a wide range of emotional and physical needs. You will need patience, compassion and an ability to listen well, so you can support customers to stay in touch with the things that really matter to them, even on the difficult days. Stamina and initiative to meet both the physical and emotional demands of providing care and support are also essential.  You could be supporting a young person with a brain injury or a customer who is near the end of their life.  The ability to think clearly in a crisis and to keep calm is necessary to provide the best care for our customers.

Our care assistants are central to the Bluebird Care mission of providing the best homecare services to meet customer needs, whilst respecting their preferences.  We provide the training and practical supervision you need to do your job well.  We also support the development of specialist expertise in your chosen area such as dementia or Parkinsons or palliative care.  This is an ideal opportunity if you are thinking of a career in social care.  We offer a career pathway that can be tailored to your individual aspirations and goals.

You must be able to travel between customers’ homes, using your own transport with a full driving license.   This stipulation does not apply to our live-in carers.
