Job description

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic team member to step up and Mentor our Care teams in the Merthyr Tydfil area. A mentor supports and guides team members and acts as a conduit for information to flow regarding customers and policies and procedures. A mentor supports in the community with manual handling practices, medication queries, support queries and works closely with Customer Support Officer. 

The role includes caring for our customers in the community as part of the team and set hours to act as Team Leader and Mentor. The role will include some evenings and weekends

Roles and Responsibilities as a Care Mentor

  • Providing personal care duties
  • Administering medication
  • Manual handling, using equipment where required
  • Promoting customer health and well-being, enabling them to live their life to the full

Your Experience and Suitability for the Care Mentor

You will need previous experience in a Care Service. We want to ensure our customer receives the very best care and to do that we need people who are naturally compassionate, caring and patient. We want a team who genuinely cares for each of our customers as if it was their own family.

 Don’t panic, we’ll ensure you have all the right training and development because we care for our Care Assistants. After all, they care for our customers so it’s important that you feel equipped for the role.

You must have:

  • Full and valid UK driving licence
  • Access to a car
  • Right to work in the UK 
  • Excellent level of English
