Inaugural Registered Managers Conference Celebrates Excellence in Leadership

Our inaugural Registered Managers Conference was a great success and we were delighted to welcome 130 delegates to the Forest of Arden Hotel and Country Club.

We recognise that our Registered Managers are at the very centre of our business and it was our pleasure to spend the day celebrating their roles and everything they do to ensure we can, and will continue to, deliver a premium standard of care to our customers. It was a day of networking, insights and celebrating 'Excellence in Leadership'.

We started the day with Jonathan, CEO of Bluebird Care, delivering an overview of the latest business performance, and sharing insights into the future of Bluebird Care. This was followed by Head of Learning and Development, Nick Griffiths, sharing the latest on the exciting Registered Managers Academy and Training before the team at Skills for Care delivered a session on Leadership, Workplace Culture, Wellbeing and Quality Improvement.

The remainder of the day was led by our amazing Quality and Compliance Team. An interactive session on Confident Leadership saw the attendees building spaghetti and marshmallow towers. A number of registered managers from the network were then invited on stage to form a Q&A session on building a culture of continuous improvement and finally we were joined by the Care Inspectorate Scotland to discuss how to evidence leadership with the regulators.

We want to share a massive thank you to all the Registered Managers who joined us on our very first Registered Manager Conference. Their energy and enthusiasm made the day truly special!
